It is for a T30, but not the standard hard drive. It is for the ultrabay 2nd HDD adapter. The hard drive I bought for it (Hitatchi Travel Star) is just short of being held in with the strap on the 2nd HDD adapter. The caddy should help it be hold the HDD in.

What "strap" are you refering to?

There is a black plastic peice "strap" that is supposed to hold the hard drive in place. It does not hold my HDD in. It prevents it from being unplugged, but the HDD is still loose in the adapter.

The hard drive "rattles" if shaken in both of the UB hard drive adaptors I've got, but the drive does not fall out if turned upside down. And they both work fine.
