You need to post a little more information on what you are looking to get for $400!

There are a lot of TP's that you can get for that price range!

sorry for being so vague.

i'm looking for perhaps a T-series or R-series.
but maybe that's wishful thinking....

Take a look on IBM site @ IBM Certified Used Equipment; they have a T23 model for 469$. I know it's a little more.. but it's a nice machine (3 months warranty). Just a thought.

You can definitely find a decent laptop for that price. What are you planning on using it for?

My Thinkpad x22 cost under your amount and it was perfectly usable for all the things I do and I've even heard someone playing game of CounterStrike on it.

I did upgrade it so it's final price is over your amount, but I can at least transfer over the harddrive if the need ever arises. Prior to upgrading, the stock laptop was still pretty good.
