Ultrabay Slim Battery for T43

#1 Post by tincbtrar » Sun Mar 05, 2006 12:44 pm

Hey all,

Interested in purchasing a Ultrabay battery for my T43. Its either the battery or the hdd adapter (I would like to dual-boot Linux/XP). How much extra time will I get? Normally I get about 4 hours without WiFi. With WiFi I get about 3:15 at the lowest settings.

Or, would it be better to get a 9 cell? I dont think I would mind if it sticks out a bit in the back - however if it adds to much weight to the system i wouldnt bother.

Brian.

I have one and it adds about an hour to run time. The combination of the 6cell and the ultrabay roughly equals the power of a 9cell.

If you didnt want the battery haning out the back, then its a nice solution.

Thank you for the quick reply. I have no idea whatsoever why my post was moved to the FS forum. Very strange. Anyway, I guess it isnt cost effective ... I dont really need another hour of battery life. I mostly use my ThinkPad around campus and there are plenty of outlets just in case im low :-)

Thanks,
Brian.
