WTB: Cheap crystal oscillators

#1 Post by toddyjoe » Wed Mar 15, 2006 10:17 pm

Looking for a few individual values of crystal oscillators for some beat-up motherboard experiments. Values needed would be at least one 14.318 Mhz crystal, hopefully a surface-mount (SMD), and a few khz values between 32.768 khz (which I have) and 50.000 khz. Ideally, I would like one 40 khz, one 50 khz and one in-between value in the low 40's. I would get some off of Ebay but I do not feel like buying 50 of each. :)

Let me know what you have and what you want for them. Thanks!

These are commonly available very inexpensively through electronics suppliers such as Digikey, Mouser, and others. I haven't looked lately, but I'm sure there are some "surplus" dealers that have them too.

I actually usually check the thrift stores for "low" freq ones, to use in mixer experiments. Lower freq ones are getting hard to find.

Thanks to 440roadrunner for the advice and to gb for checking your stash. I thought I might try to help some fellow Thinkpads.com'ers unload old crystals they may have been looking to get rid of but it appears I might have to go the Mouser/Digikey route and buy new. Thanks again for the help!
