My employer has just provided me with a new T60 so I have no need for my X40. I purchased this laptop from Brainpicker (aka Yak) as new in December of 2005 and have added a few items as listed below:
**Like New** ThinkPad X40 (2382JEU) notebook computer, in absolute immaculate condition, no scratches or bad pixels.
Full IBM Warranty until 08/24/2008
Upgraded to Integrated Bluetooth.
X4 UltraBase Port Replicator with CD/DVD +/- RW drive (Matshita UJ-812).
Additional CD-RW/DVD Drive that originally came with X4 Ultrabase.
Extended 8-Cell battery for up to 5.5 hours of usage.
2 AC Adapters, one for home and one for the road or office.
IBM Portable 40GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive w/Rapid Restore for full external system backups.
Full set (6) of IBM system restore CD’s.
Zeroshock Sleeve Carrying Case.
Logitech Bluetooth Travel Mouse.
This is a great setup and runs perfectly, I just will not need it going forward. I want $1200 shipped and insured to the lower 48 states, would rather not send out of the country. I can accept payments via PayPal (non-CC), Money Order, or Cashier Check.

Ah, if only I wasn't about to order an Eye One Photo... Very nice deal though. In fact, that is a great deal. A steal of a deal. The external hard drive, two AC adapters, truly everything one could possibly want to get a complete notebook package for work and on the road/home.

...and the seller isn't a bad guy either
Bob did buy this from me as he claimed. He lives about an hour or so away so we met to avoid any possible shipping damage as the unit was brand new at the time. I would also believe everything is in the condition described as he is a very honest man. I had mistakenly left installed the extra 512MB of RAM as I was intending to keep this X40 for my self, but instead of not saying anything he not only told me about it but paid me for it a few days later! I appreciated that so much that I gave him the brand new set of X40 Restore CD's I had received from IBM a while back (and you will receive when you buy this). He purchased another laptop from me back in January for a family member too. I would expect no problems as the buyer of this complete set of tools.
There are a lot of times when I wish I had purchased one of those IBM external hard drives alone for my X40/41's. That's a great extra.

Very sweet deal.
For clarification purposes, 1) did you swap out the clear plates with the Bluetooth upgrade, 2) what about the BT antenna - pre-installed, added OEM, or aftermarket? 3) 256MB RAM?
Thank you.

Bob,
Go sell it on Craigslist. I played around here with my nice ones too until I decided yesterday to list them both (R51 and X40) locally on Craigslist. They BOTH sold this morning and for MORE money too! Not even a day listed. Heck remember that Craigslist is where I advertised this one when you bought it from me. Give it a try as it looks like X40's are all just rotting away here on the Marketplace even at fantastic deals like yours. They're selling even on eBay for far. far more and the buyers don't have a clue who they are dealing with. Must be a slow buying season over here I guess.
