Samsung chip, has 512MB 2Rx16 PC2-5300S - 555- 12-A3 markings on the chip and MR70T6554CZ3-CE6 on it.

Would be great for someone who has a T60 w/ 512mb who wants to upgrade to 1 gb but still keep their dual channel capabilities (memory must be the same).

Looking for $35 OBO shipped.

Would you happen to know if this 5300 would work in a laptop thats uses 4200? (backward compat) Thanks..d

hrm..i would assume so, but I have no way of knowing for sure so I wouldnt be able to guarentee it. Maybe someone else can chime in who has more experience with mixing memory with different speeds.
