Ok, there are several missing elements here:

What is your location?
What references do you have (ie. ebay, heatware) as this is your first post?

Also, why not return it....you're still within the 30day return period, correct?

I usually just read the forum and never post. I am located in Wheeling, WV. The company where I bought it (my brother owns it) deal with Ingram Micro and they do not take returns or DOA on Lenovo. My user on ebay is crcbg. Rather than list the laptop on Ebay I thought I would try this forum. The transaction can be ran through Paypal.

since this sale is by a new user with no history, no location and no signature it will be required to go through my escrow service..
otherwise we will need to remove it..

with my escrow the buyer send ME a cashiers check or paypal cash payment, i verify the funds as being good, then the seller sends the thinkpad to the buyer..
once the buyer verifies the thinkpad as being what he expected, the buyer notifies me to release the funds to the seller..
i charge a $50 fee for this..
either or both can pay this fee..

ALSO, the seller might consider a scan of the invoice from ingram micro (with personal info removed) sent to an admin of this BBS would help relieve any suspicion..

not trying to be hard nosed here, i just need to see that no fraud goes down here as it does on ebay..

Do you mean the model number 200763U? My location is Wheeling, WV. I do not have a problem with the escrow service BUT the cashier check must be cashed by you and you must send me the funds so that they are valid.
Is your escrow service registered? Any information I can review?

I am not sure how to do the Paypal transaction so that it comes to you but I am sure we can work that out.

I will scan the invoice and send directly to you.

Where can I send the scan of the invoice?

Your profile does not have a direct email to send a scan???

It's bill@thinkpads.com He's the forum owner. I know he was going away for a few days, so you may not hear from him again until Monday or Tuesday.

i was reading too fast and did not remember i saw the model number in the subject line..

send a scan of the invoice to bill@thinkpads.com..

re. escrow..
i don't cash anything..

i just verify the validity of a cashiers check with the issuing bank..
and some of the users here i know well enough not to be concerned for payment..

and i really prefer a cashiers check made to the seller over paypal as i don't like holding others cash in my accounts..

going to georgia sunday evening..
should be back here tuesday or wednesday..
will have several thinkpads with me and there are hot spots all over madison/greensboro/eatonton, georgia..
so i WILL be monitoring but not as frequently..

Escrow

That is fine with me as long as you will guarantee the authenticity of the cashiers check.
