Works great. Hinges are fine. For my house laptop, I didn't need something this good. I always have my T40.

For those that are interested, I have purchased several laptops from dorronto....highly recommended!!!

Also, this is a great deal!! I was actually working on trying to buy it until my buyer backed out. FTR: The buyer backed out because he was hoping to get the equivilent of a T60 for the same price. Some people just want something for nothing.
