Just took this out of my T40 when I got a 1.7 from a buddy of mine. Runs great at 1.6Ghz with a lowered vcore of 1.02v via RMclock and .7v for 600mhz (lowest vcore avaliable).
This chip is also capable of being pin modded inside a T43 or other sonoma based machine, which would put it at a clock of 2.13ghz (133x16). I have not tried it, as I do not own a Sonoma machine, I therefore cannot garantee it... but the mod should work fine and you'll have a very speedy chip on your hands
Compatable with any T4x or R series based on the Pentium M. X series TP's have a soldered on CPU, so you can't swap it.
