WTB: Modem for an X40

#1 Post by brainpicker » Mon May 08, 2006 9:34 pm

Here's one I've never heard before...

The kid I sold my X40 to locally a few weeks ago claims to have broken the modem card and now needs a new one. I don't mean it just stopped working... I mean he claims the card actually BROKE taking it in and out several times while contemplating a bluetooth upgrade (which, thankfully, he is now afraid to do!). I've not seen it myself but I can't wait to see what he actually did. Of course this wouldn't be covered by warranty so I told him I'd try to help and pick up something cheap before he buys a new one. If any of you who have done a bluetooth upgrade still have the old used modem card sitting around send me an e-mail with your delivered price and I'll pass on the news. You'll be paid by me so no fear of being stiffed by an unknown buyer.

Thanks,
- Yak

Thank you Bob! It arrived today.

When I told the kid you gave this to him for free, and I was going to put it in for him and test everything for free, he was overcome with happiness. I told him all you required was for him to someday "pay it forward". I think he will.
