Thanks
Kevin

restore CD's for thinkpads do not usually require the entry of a serial number or activation key..
someone here might have a copy they will send you for nothing..
some earlier T20 series restore CD's might also work well with your T22..
i have a copy of the linux version as installed on some T22's by IBM..
BTW, please enter your location..
you can do so by editing your user profile..

thanks

Husky, I usually just use an OEM full copy of 2000, when I reinstall. I have the restore discs for 2000, and XP, for the T23 as well as 2000 and 98 discs that work on the 20-22 stuff.
If you want a copy of my restore discs, let me know.

Skou, I to have a full copy Of Win2k. My goal is to put the machine back to its original configuration. I mean all of the software that came with it, including the restore partition. If one of those disks you have can do that, I would love to get a copy. Let me know how the cost.
Thanks
Kevin

Usually, no.
I tried to use the XP discs I have, on my T23, and it DID ask for the activation key.
Bill, could I talk you out of a copy of your Linux install? Do you think it would work on a T23, too?

re recovery disks: A friend has just bought a T23 with XP and would prefer to have W2K. Can I install W2K from a recovery disk for him. The reason is he would like to run both windows and eCS (ne OS/2) and 2K is more compatable. I'm running both 2K and eCS on my T23 with no problems. My T23 came with 2K preloaded and no recovery disk.

PS: I seem to recall something I saw here about making your own. Any hints where to find it?

Kevin, I tried an install, using my restore disc, and it was pretty much the same as the full generic copy of 2000. I still had to download the T23 specific drivers from IBM/Lenovo.
