Yes. The UJ-832 is a 4X DVD±R burner. The 822 is only a 2X.

No DL. You have to get to the 842 to get DL.

Are there other brands than Matshita doing 9.5mm drives?
Matshita is really... OK I don't like those. :?

No. This is the underlying reason that the drives for the thinkpads cost SO MUCH. No one else makes a 9.5mm drive that will fit.

FYI, what you linked to is NOT the same drive.

That drive is the UJ-822S, so it is slower than the UJ-832S drive I have listed.

BUMP - price lowered to $175 shipped. (and I will put it on eBay before I go below this - so don't even ask me to go lower :D )

How's Life m8?

The Laptop you've sent is working wonderfully, using it for work everyday - apart from the hard drive is making a low clicking noise every couple of seconds - its not annoying or anything, just worried about the hard drive itself. Any ideas?

Back on topic, i'd like to buy the DVD burner at the price you've requested plus shipping to Dublin - could you get back to me with a figure ?

Thanks again,
Paul.
