FS: NEC Versa 4050C

#1 Post by AlphaKilo470 » Wed May 17, 2006 6:38 pm

EDIT: Item has been sold locally and is no longer availible...

I have for sale a working NEC Versa 4050C. This computer features a 10" VGA TFT, 2.1gb hard drive w/ Windows 98SE installed and a 4x internal CD drive. The battery holds a good charge. The power adaptor has some damage to the connector but it's functionality is unaffected and the computer itself has minor yellowing on the outside of the case.

My asking price is $25. If anyone is interested, PM or e-mail me.

Shipping will be between $5 and $10 depending on how far away you live from my location which is listed under my username on all of my posts.

how much RAM?

What's the condition of the hinges?

Active or Passive Matrix screen?

I live in central Illinois, so it'd probably closer to $10.

This computer has very good hinges; the screen stays in place without any trouble. There is 24mb RAM installed (8mb onboard + 16mb expansion card) and the screen is active matrix.

EDIT: I edited the post after actually testing the hinges on this computer. They are actually much better than I gave credit for this morning. However, the lid latch doesn't work. There are no broken pieces from what I can tell but the latch just doesn't hold down, maybe it's a bent plastic somewhere.

Whoa, an NEC 4050C. I still have mine, it was my first laptop. That thing is built like a tank!
