WTB: Busted 600E CD drive

#1 Post by AlphaKilo470 » Wed May 24, 2006 10:08 pm

I'm looking for a cd rom drive for the ThinkPad 600 to use the bezel from because the CDRW drive I finally got working on my 600E looks somewhat "ghetto" when installed on my computer because I had to modify the drive to fit so I'd like to get a bezel meant for the 600 to put onto my CDRW drive to make it look more "fitting."

How much of the bezel do you need? Just the part on the front face of the drive or the entire thing including the locking hook underneath the drive?

I've got the front piece if that will help. I put an NEC DL DVD in my 600 but the old front bezel would not fit. All I could use was the bottom locking part.

I just need the very front part that covers the cd drive and has the eject button on it.

Yep, that's what I've got. Send me a PM if you want it.

Be aware that there are several different models of these drives made by different maufacturers with the mounting tabs, lights, eject buttons and emergency eject mechanisms in different locations.
In other words one size does not fit all.
