I am looking for a DVD burner in 12mm format like those that fit in the T2x series (the newer 9mm T4x/T6x models are too slim). The drive must be flashed to RPC-1 as I have many DVDs from both regions 1 (USA) and 3 (Korea).

The drive is actually going into an Apple PowerBook, but since there are no Mac flash utilities, I thought I'd try my luck here as flashing firmware is easy to do on a PC.

I prefer a modern, fast dual layer drive and it MUST be slot loading (again so it will fit in the PowerBook).

Let me know if such a thing is available, I'm eager to buy quickly.

I just purchased this one for my Fujitsu Lifebook but I am not sure about the ability to make it region free?

M a t s u s h i t a drives can't be flashed, at least not on a Mac. I need to buy one that is already flashed for region free as there are no flash utilities for Mac and I no longer own a PC.
