Hi JD...

Trying to get the parts rounded up for the 770X I see.....I also did a ebay search, and the only ones I found are the new ones a guy has been selling for a long time now....used ones usually only go for about 10 bucks cheaper,so may want to think about using buy it now on this one(Have no connection with this auction!!) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... eName=WDVW

And just to let you know, the 770X has been shipped, and should be there next week....

Later....

FYI:

1. that ebay 770 HDD caddy is NOT an IBM original version..
go to my web site to see the correct 770 HDD caddy..
http://www.thinkpads.com/prod04.htm

2. I helped design the one that the ebay seller is selling and it is just fine..
it took "us" a couple of months to find the connector for that one..

3. his price is also good.. i could probably match it but to what end..
to make $5 or so.. :?

my only concern is that he says:
"Auction is for BRAND NEW STILL FACTORY SEALED IBM THINKPAD 770 HARD DRIVE CADDY"
which is a bit of what i call BaffelGab..
its probably new and factory sealed in a small whice cardboard box but it is NOT the original IBM model..
