I have a set of original IBM recovery disks for T42/T42p/R51, type 1829, 1830, 1831, 1836, 1840, 1841, 2373, 2374, 2378, 2379.
see
http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=26305 for history.
This is a set that was delivered with a rescue cd and disks 1-6 of 7 recovery cd's. I have burned a copy of disk 7 of 7 from the complete set I finally received on the fourth attempt.
Also note in the original history above, that I cut my own set from my T42 (2378 R4U) and only got 6 disks plus the rescue disk.
Anyway, if anyone wants this set with the burned copy of disk 7, it is yours for $15 shipped CONUS.

These disk should be the English version. They have Spanish capability, but they are not going to be the Spanish disks. I believe that the core OS will still be in English.
There was a lot of discussion on the language topic in some of the other threads.

When i said the os i said most comon thinks like start button, menus,....like when you install a MUI that change a language.

Sold the set. Thanks.
If anyone should need, I can burn a copy of my complete set as received from IBM support. It took me several weeks and many phone calls, of them overnighting the wrong/incomplete set before I finally got a complete set.
For some reason, cutting my own set gave me 6 + 1 instead of 7 + 1, and the 6 + 1 will not restore. Several other folks have found this out, too. Just sold my last set to one of them. IBM was sending me 6 +1, even though the numbering was 1 of 7, etc. Finally got it right on the 4th try.
