CD/DVD ROM player for Thinkpad A30 (hope to don't be OT)

Hi to everyone,

I have a problem with my Thinkpad A 30, I hope that someone could give any help to solve it.

The inner CD/DVD player of my laptop got broken, I have contacted IBM customer care to find out where I can be able to buy a new one, and kindly the customer services representative gave me some reseller’s number to call.
I live in Italy, and customer care representative gave me resellers number close to city that I live in.
most of numbers don’t appear to be active or they are too old, just a couple answered and told me that the spare parts must come from the North of Italy (I do live in South) or directly from IBM UK located in Greenock.
The problem is that IBM Italy don’t sell the spare parts (I don’t know why) and resellers don’t care about it, they say that IMB is supposed to furnish them about spare parts ( function not supported by IBM Italy).
I spend most of my time calling resellers and IBM Italy but none of them know what to do, this is so frustrating, if I could work for IMB I would have done my best to help a customer, probably these people don’t love their job at all!!
Does anybody of U guys may know where will I be able to get this inner CD/DVD player?
Would U please tell me if there is any web site, or company that may help me?

I moved this post to the Marketplace. Hopefully, one of our kind forum members can provide you with one pretty cheap. We have quite a few members in Italy.

FWIW, the CD, DVD, CDRW, DVD/CDRW drives for the A30 are UltraBay 2000 and are compatible with several other models from the T series.
