(SOLD) FS: T30 semi complete (needs LCD+ misc.)

I've got a T30 that is almost complete, needs some parts to be complete. It has some issues that I can't be 100% sure of the source of the problem, but I believe its my RAM, or the dreaded DIMM socket issue (both DIMM's sockets are working on this board though)

Needs:
LCD (screen only), (SXGA is supported on this as well as XGA)
LCD front bezel frame (not the back of the lcd)
covers for hdd, memory, and modem
hinge cover

Specs:
2366-81U
1.8GHz, P4M
ATI Radeon Mobility (16Mb, or may be more)
modem
standard minipci intel ethernet adapter

Notes:
Occasionally locks up (I believe its a ram issue, don't have any other ram to test it) fan works though, so I don't think it's heat related.
memory has to be pushed on to seat properly. I actually used a piece of electrical tape to make a shim. I donlt have the memory cover, so that may be the source of the lockups as well.
missing 1 key on the keyboard, but rubber pad is still there.

ADMIN EDIT:That was too many images.. links are good :)

I'm really trying to get my R40 going, and it needs a motherboard. I'm open to offers, trades; fairly current barebones\base units; something worth repairing (P4 2.4 range) etc.
Otherwise off to ebay this goes.

I can include
standard DVD ROM drive, ac adapter, 256 ram
or buy it barebones and save a few dollars.
please email me to discuss (basscleff@gmail.com)

LCD might kill the deal. Best luck.

Hmmm....very tempting to make you an offer, but my wife would kill me.

Not to crap on your thread, as they say, but I will tell you that missing as many parts as you are will hurt the deal for you. (missing ram cover, LCD, key, etc.) Dont expect too much.

One question though...does the second ram slot work? If it does, this might increase the value, since the T30 is known to have this problem.

Steve- I'm really considering a thread where we count how many times you've said that.

If you did, there'd be 10 times as many times that she has threatened. She's a big meanie!!!!

Well, if things get desperate and you can't sell your T30 shell, let me know, I really need a boat anchor for my fishing trip this weekend. Hmm, come to think of it, I probably need a boat too.

to answer your question, yes, both memory slots work.
You have to press the memory in the second slot, but if I had a cover, I don't think it'd be an issue. I actually used a drop of hot glue (no, I didn't damage anything on the thinkpad at all)

works like a charm.
