WTB: UltraBay 2000 optical drive (DVD, CDRW) AND ram (512mb)

#1 Post by tfflivemb2 » Thu Jun 29, 2006 10:09 pm

I am putting together a T23 for a friend and I need a few things to finish it up. I need the following items, quick and cheap:

1. DVD, CDRW, or DVD/CDRW drive

2. 512mb PC133 ram (either 2 256mb sticks or 1 512mb stick)

For the optical drive, I'd prefer to just get a DVD drive for as cheap as I possible. However, if there is a good deal on a CDRW or DVD/CDRW, I might be interested for my wife's X20 X2 UltraBase.

For the ram, I'd like to keep it under $45 shipped.

Since I am in the process of switching my checking account around, I can only use PayPal with a Credit Card.
EDIT: I got it straight...I can now pay via non-credit card paypal.

Thanks!

Not to bump my own thread, but I wanted to let those that might have bypassed it over the Paypal constraints know that I was able to get my checking account added successfully.

So now I can make a non-CC Paypal payment.

PC-133 RAM is VERY expensive now, I think you will need to pay near $45.00 for one 256!

I have lots of DVD/CD-RW drives for that unit, all original IBM.
How much do you want to spend, maybe we can make a deal.

Thanks for the reply, but I just picked up a 512mb PC133 stick from coolname1 for $50 shipped.

What kind of price are you looking at for the drives? I just picked up a DVD drive from dschovak for $15 shipped. I will have to check to see what the DVD/CDRW drives are going for. I might be interested in picking up a few from you, after this T23 sells on Sunday.
