Recovery CDs for IBM ThinkPad T60 series - HELP

Hi, Am from Viet Nam and the warranty service in viet nam is very poor.
I have a T60p ( 2623DDU ). I allowed Rescue & Recovery to install and lost all access to my primary drive. I can't get to the service partition. The system gets to the ThinkPad screen and then hangs with a cursor in the upper left. I can see the drive in the bios HDD test, but not from any bootable disks.
Is anyone out there willing to generate a set of recovery disks for me?
( I HAVE A FTP SERVER )
I can't afford to lose this unit for 1-2month to have Lenovo take care of it.

I think that by the time anyone is willing enough to burn you the CDs, collect some coin for shipping, bubble wrap them up and address it for it's weeklong trip to Vietnam, you would have already received your T60 returned from Lenovo.

before anyone can ship a recovery CD or even an image, you will need to post the serial number..
is that a japanese model or hong kong model thinkpad..
and recovery CD set we count ship, or upload, would be in english..
lets chat about uploading..
that recovery CD set comprises a LOT of data, on 6 or 7 CD's..
i have uploaded one CD and it takes ALL NIGHT for one..
even if i use both my cable and DSL lines to do two uploads at a time..

This is kinda off in case anyone has a problem making recovery DVDs, it turns out that DVD- disks will be read as regular CD by the computer and you still need 6-7 of them to make your backup disks.
Other DVDs shouldn't be a problem though.

I didn't have the above problem when I made the recovery discs on my T42 - one CD plus one DVD. I know many others have used the one CD plus one DVD method, as attested to in these forums. It sounds like you have some sort of unusual problem, or IBM/Lenovo has changed the Product Recovery Discs creation program (which I kind of doubt).
T60 Recovery CDs

The usb thing is screwiing me up too. Either an installation of Ghost, or an installation of the latest Rescue and Recovery made my F11 option dissappear.
I'm hoping someone can help me out with T60 R&R CDs; I've tried nearly everything, including the tool listed in this post with an external floppy drive.
I can make an ftp server available, or whatever someone needs. I would also be willing to paypal someone the cash to ship them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
X

Didn't solve the problem, either by using the repair option, or the replace option for the MBR.
Sorry, I erroneously posted earlier in the T4x forum.
Thanks again.

What about Lenovo tech support, they might send you a set for free. I could make up a set if you're at your last resort.
RESOLUTION

I've been in the game long enough to know that a phone call to tech support (any tech support) rarely resolves one's core problem efficiently. This is, of course, an assumption; but an assumption based on many personal experiences.
RESOLUTION: Changed the boot order so that it booted to HDD2 first. Thinkvantage booted up and am recovering now.
I wonder why this "last resort" is not documented anywhere in the support documentation?
Off topic: IBM/Lenovo really needs to distribute a floppy emulator tool for usb sticks (much like HP does), or at least change their firmware so the HP tool will work on Thinkpads. Wasted a significant amount of time messing around with virtual drives, floppy emulation, etc. when all I needed to do was to change the boot order. Finally said "**** it" and bought an external USB floppy. Still didn't work, so maybe an emulator is pointless anyway.
I will be experimenting to determine just what messed around with the MBR in the first place over the next couple of days. I'll post what I discover. I am pretty sure it was either Ghost or the latest version of R&R.
Cheers,
djc

I agree, but you probably go through "their" list of troubleshooting steps and then some before you call. What I really meant was calling them to get a set of CD's.
I remember the time when it was, "uninstall SP2 and call back" here's your case number.
