Hello all,

The T41p has sold, I still have the R50

R50:1.5G 2MB Centrino | Working Motherboard | Windows XP Pro COA | NO Screen but the bezel and lcd ribbon cable is included | No other parts included (pics not up)

i might be interested..
what model #..?
what is the condition of the display.. i.e. stuck on pixels.. ?
and general condition..?
i would want the serial number, too..

oh, BTW, interesting work you do..
doing new auto interiors and dashboards..

I was looking around and saw this on eBay. You might call the guy and see. Checking the seller's feedback, other people got it repaired pretty well. Hope it helps.

I did some research and found that many times, this is the cost of "looking at the laptop" the repair cost usually differ, when they add the replaced parts.

Agreed.

The machine to thoroughly fix a motherboard is pretty expensive. And it is even more expensive to hire a technician to do the fix. So unless you send the MB to China or India, it may not worthwhile to have it fixed. It is sometime cheaper to just buy a used motherboard.

But a little search just turned that this model is prone to motherboard problems. I forgot which thread I read, but it has something to do with the video card.

I might be interested in the ThinkPad, but what is the size of the screen?
