With regret, I'm sellng my first ThinkPad T42, model 2373-JTU, restored to essentially factory condition (using a recent TP42 preload). 1.70 GHz, 1 GB RAM, new keyboard, perfect 14.1" 1024x768 screen, ATI 7500 graphics, 40 GB hard disk. All original packing material and parts. Warranty expires Dec 10, 2009 (not a typo - that's 2009).

The only minor surface flaw, which I didn't even notice until I was packing this up for sale, are some tiny abrasions at the upper right of the top cover; they're unnoticeable except in bright light, and you can see a picture of them on the lower left of the linked page.

Because of the condition of the unit, the completeness of the package and parts, and the more than three years left in the warranty, I'm asking US$850 with no charge for FedEx third-day shipping in the US. Continental US buyers only please; the paperwork and long lines required to ship overseas make it impractical for me to ship outside the US without charging far more money than you would ever want to pay.

This is the unit that has been the subject of many of my posts here, including quite a few on the Linux forum.

EDIT: sorry, I got the screen resolution wrong last time...
