What is the brand and model of the MacBook superdrive? Is it from a MacBook or MacBook Pro, and if Pro, from the 15" or 17"? Only the 17" can take standard height optical drives and to my knowledge, there are no DL slim drives available yet.

If it is in fact a slim height drive with dual layer ability than I'll take it.

*** The superdrive is from a POWERBOOK, NOT A MACBOOK, meaning it is a conventional 12.5mm drive and will not fit a MacBook or 15" MacBook Pro. Since it is originally from a Titanium PowerBook, it is also definitely NOT dual layer nor will it write to any form of +R or +RW media.

I was going to buy this for my MacBook, which would have been an expensive exercise frustration for a mislabled listing.

The macintosh stuff are from a powerbook g4. I was not thinking and typed macbook instead of power book. I advised the user yesterday and corrected the listing.

You are still calling it DL (Dual Layer), which as a 13-year Mac user I can assure you was never fitted to any Titanium PowerBook.
