Pics of the "crack" would also benefit your sale. Your definition of crack might be different than some one elses.

possibly a dumb question, but if the LCD is cracked why not just try to get it fixed under warranty from IBM?
or does that fall under "abuse".

IBM's warranty did not cover the LCD screen when I bought it. If you buy a Thinkpad now, there is an option to purchase the "extended" warranty that covers the LCD if it breaks or cracks....wish it was in place then bc I would have bought it definately.
I did try to phone IBM...no luck...Is someone here thinks it can happen then well you are more than welcome to buy the laptop and get it fixed "under warranty"....
