This is a generic (non-IBM) Atheros card that works beautifully in any laptop older than the T43 or X41. On the new ones (Sonoma or Yonah chipset) it will lock the machine with an 1802 error that I was not able to figure out a bypass for. On my older X32 it also gave the 1802 error, but was easy to deal with using the "No-1802" boot CD that removes this lame excuse for protection from your ThinkPad.

Of course, will work perfectly on all non-ThinkPads that use a Mini-PCI slot. I've got one of these working great in my Toshiba Portege 4000 and that works in my X22, though I'm waiting on antennas before I switch from the 3Com PC card.

This is about the most powerful and reliable wifi card available in the Mini-PCI format.

$30 shipped to lower 48.

Andrew,

If this is an Atheros a/b/g card, I'll take it!

Or is it .11b only?

Not sure if its a/b/g or just b/g, I know its got the G protocol, just not sure about the A.

Its an AR5212a, if that means anything.

That's the b/g card, but I'll take it!

PM me with payment details please.
