Still looking for T23 reinstall disks

Hi everyone,

I'm still looking for replacement recovery disks for my T23, in order to reinstall Windows XP professional. I have my own serial (sticker on underside of TP) but no CDs!

IBM wants $50 to replace the cd's, so I was hoping a sympathetic soul could burn me a copy of theirs. I would gladly pay for postage and materials, of course!

If you can help, Please PM me, Thanks!

What exactly are you looking for with the Recovery Disks? Do you just want the IBM logo on the System page, or the bundled apps that come with Recovery? If you just want the logos, I can email them to you, just PM me. The .bmp is pretty small, as is the .ini file that goes with it.

If you have your own XP Pro, use that and run Software Updater to get all the proper drivers and stuff. If you're wanting the original apps tho, then yeah, Recovery CD is the way to go.

If it's still in warrenty, you can get the CD free from IBM, tell them the HD crashed and the hidden partition is not functioning to do the IBM Recovery.

I suppose you checked eBay?

Thanks for the replies.

For general reference, the OEM license that comes with the TPs only works with OEM install disks. Yes I will have to do a lot of updating, but I don't want problems with my other retail XP Pro install by overusing the key, and the discs won't work with my TP's key, so thus the need for original recovery discs.
