SOLD!!!!!

Up for sale is a used Dell Inspiron 700m laptop (only 4.1 lbs!). It's in excellent condition; the only blemishes I can see are several shiny keys and a barely noticeable 1-inch-long scratch on the lid. All original CDs, manuals and boxes are included. The 80GB hard drive (upgraded from 30GB) is under Toshiba's warranty through Sep 2008, whereas the rest of the laptop is covered by Dell's warranty until Nov 1, 2006. I am asking for $620 shipped for the whole package, or $550 without the HDD. For photos, go to http://providence.craigslist.org/sys/205125004.html . I have a perfect eBay feedback, under user name pianowizard.

The specs:

1.6GHz Pentium M processor

512MB PC2700 RAM (on a single stick, with one more slot available for upgrade)

80GB Toshiba MK8026GAX 5400rpm hard drive (with 16MB buffer)

12.1" WXGA (1280X800) display

DVD-ROM/CDRW combo drive

built-in 802.11b/g wireless card

ethernet and modem

SD card reader

good battery

AC adapter

two USB2.0 ports

one PCMCIA slot

All 8 original installation CDs, including Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2, Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia 2004 (unopened), Microsoft Money (unopened), WordPerfect Productivity Pack (unopened), Sonic RecordNow 7.1, CyberLink PowerDVD, Dell Inspiron System Software, and Dell Tools System Software

all manuals

Windows XP Home Certificate of Authencity sticker on the bottom

These are very nice laptops. Like a cross breed between an X and T series. Smaller than a T but the same performance.

That's the best description of the Dell Inspiron 700m I've ever come across! I have enjoyed using it as much as the Thinkpad x40, and am selling it only because I just bought the T43.

I added some photos of the 700m to my Craigslist ad:

http://providence.craigslist.org/sys/202732865.html

BTW, the keys are very slightly smaller than those of the X40, but still big enough for comfortable typing.

I am still asking for $680 shipped, but will consider reasonable offers. Just drop me a PM or email.

Updated with the final price drop! I am selling for so low just because I have way too many laptops (a TP600E and a T20 are on their way) and I need to free up some space, not because there are problems with this machine.
