I'm selling a T40 that I am in the process of testing, upgrading, and adding software to.
.. I am willing to configure the system as you need - within certain limits.
.... Basic cost is $530 (SXGA, PM 1.6GHz, 40G/5400, 512M, DVD)

I have loaded the IBM preload, updated XP and the IBM drivers and have added some good free software (OpenOffice, Thunderbird, Picasa, etc).
Additionally, I can make this system -- INTERNET READY -- by including a legal Zone Alarm license for one year for $20.

Thanks for your input. I give that as an option but I'll think about including in more of the options.

What about a the basic system without a HD, and without optical drive? I have an optical drive, HD, and internal wifi card.

The system will be another system though (which I don't have but is on the way).
I don't want to break this system up even though the warranty is gone.

CORRECTION - The model number is 2373-91U .. NOT 2373-91W. The serial number is correct. The two models are almost identical so none of the other specs are affected .. just the model number. Sorry about that.
