Hello all.

New to this forum and have fallen in live with thinkpads (I hope its not to un-natural).

I am in Perth, Australia and would like to purchase T42P (or T41p), will be running Ubuntu.

Prepared to pay up to US1000 for the T42p including freight to me here (by express).

Prepared to consider a T41p as well, price obviously not the same as a T42p.

Let me know.

Regards
M

I think 1000 dollars is a little bit to low for a T42p, even for a T41p shipped. Shipping to australia is expensive too!.

i dont think 1000 shipped is too low at all. I have an awesome t42p with plenty of extras and warranty for well less than 1000 dollars. It was also uxga, not 14.1. You should have no problem finding one, but finding somebody willing to ship outside of U.S might cause a lil problems, but keep trying.

Payment method and other concerns.

Hello all.

I guess there may be some concern as to how I am going to pay for a purchase if I live down here in Australia. Rest assured I am not dodgy and am willing to pay by PayPal or direct transfer into your nominated bank account if that would suit. Of course, this is dependent on the seller appearing on the Fair traders list with a positive remark by someone for them. I would also consider your eBay history if you can get a message to me using your eBay account. My eBay account is "martidep" so at least you can get an idea of me.

There may also be some concern about postage to me here. I have done a quick quote on the US post site and using EMS to me here in Australia will cost about USD45 - so its not that expensive is it!

Lastly, thank you all for reading my post!

Regards

No thanks. The A31p is getting a bit old for my needs now and I really had my heart set on these slim T models - but thanks for the offer.
