I am selling my IBM Thinkpad 600E laptop (2645-8BU) in near-mint condition. Occasionally, it gives the infamous 00161 and 00163 error codes during start up. I think it's a CMOS problem though I am not sure. To get past this error, simply reset the date and time, and after that the operating system loads fine. Here are the specs

400MHz Pentium II processor
10GB hard drive
DVD-ROM drive
128MB RAM
13.3-inch XGA display in perfect condition
IBM battery that lasts for over 2 hours
AC adapter (16V & 4.5A)

There's no Windows COA sticker, though I have installed my institution's copy of Windows XP Pro for testing purpose. You will need to replace it with your own OS.

It's the newest-looking 6-year-old computer I have ever seen. Besides the above-mentioned error codes, another potential defect is that when I was installing Windows XP Pro from a CD on the DVD-ROM drive, several files could not be copied, and I had to retry the whole process three times to finish the installation. But Win98SE and Win2K could be installed smoothly, so it could simply be a problem of my WinXP Pro CD.

I am asking for $118 shipped. I accept bank-funded PayPal. Both my eBay and Heatware feedbacks are under "pianowizard" and are 100% positive. Please PM me if you are interested!

This laptop is still available. I just discovered that every once in a while it gives the 00161 and 00163 error codes on boot, and so I have reduced the asking price to $118 shipped. These are supposed to be CMOS errors, which should be easy to fix but I don't have time for that.
