Ok well eBay is a bust. I have no idea how to keep Nigerian scammers away from my auctions, and ruining the auction for legitimate eBayers - so I'll try another route:

Im selling my X31 (2673-FU7/99-ANWK5).

Heres all the fancy stuff it has:

Processor: Intel Mobile Pentium M at 1.4GHz,
Memory: 256MB DDR and supports up to 2GB Maximum Memory for Pentium M models
Hard Drive: NEW 40GB 4200RPM Hard Drive
CD and DVD Drive: CD-RW/DVD (Supported By Ultra Base Included)
Networking: Integrated Cisco Wireless-B and Integrated Intel Pro 1000
Battery: Lithium Ion 6 Cell Configuration - Holds about a 2-3 hours charge
Warranty Status: Good Until 10/28/2006
Include with Notebook: Ultrabase with DVD/CDRW, Power Adaptor, restore CD's.

I bought this laptop awhile ago. Its in good condition, no dents cracks scratches, etc. I think I've done a fine job of taking care of the thing.

It helps on eBay to use the Buyer requirements. There you can block bidders with feedback of -1 or worse, those with unpaid item strikes, those who live in a country you don't ship to... and even block bidders without a Paypal account.

My bad. Read over it like four times too.

Sacramento, CA - 95814.

I did that, and still got one fool bidding who tried to get me to ship it to his nephew serving in the United Nations Medical Group in Nigeria.

What frustrated me the most, was that there were legitimate bids that I was willing to take, but because I couldnt cancel bids fast enough (you have to copy and paste, or have two windows open, and I cant alt-tab between firefox windows. . .edit:hmm just tested ctrl-tab on a larf, haha) the bid got lost, and the legit seller said he wasnt interested in it at the highest bid he had (which was 550 - but was only that because of the idiots bidding 1000, and eventually 15,000).

Theres ALOT eBay could do to frustrate these scammers, who are compromising folks accts. that havent been used in ages.

I think James meant for you to put your location in your profile, not necessarily in you post. :)

In this particlar instance I wanted the OP to disclose the location of the sale item, but I'm always happy to see folks update their profile with their location.

I will let you know if it sells. Have a local buyer interested, but I'll let you know.

Got the Z60T, but looking to sell that as well. . .nice machine, but I'm thinking of going with another brand for WXGA.

hi

i'm very interested. i search a x31 in good conditions for a while.

but there is still a problem: would you send it to germany? maybe via ups or so? and is it possible to pay via paypal (i think this is the securest way for both).

edit some hours later: ok, i found a x31 here in germany. its a bit more expensive, but easier to get it ;)

good luck with your selling!
