I've decided not to pull the trigger on this one, but it looks like it may be worth it for someone with T30 experience or who wants to take a risk;

I called the shop and they said the blue on the LCD was just a reflection, not actually an image on the screen.

It needs a system board. It wil cost more to fix than you can just buy a working T30 for.

GEEZ! Doesn't he know how to reduce the size of his images? That thing was huge (3000 x 2300 pixels)!

It needs a system board.
That was my assessment, too. Sometimes, but rarely, you get pawn brokers that just think the machine is broken because it won't boot to Windows properly.
(Those pix were huge, I feel sorry for the dial up users!)

Listen to the Sgt!
There's tons of working T30s around, some for as little as $300.

It "might" have the bad DIMM slot, which means that moving the RAM to the other slot might just boot it up.
STILL needs a motherboard.

If I didn't have all of these T23s cluttering up my office (and more on the way), I'd probably get one of these T30 systems with the memory slot problem just to see how fixable (or not) it is.
