Just any T-series or a specific one?

You also need to specify which version of LCD panel you are trying to connect to:
1) 13.3" XGA (cable FRU 27L0562)
2) 14.1" XGA (cable FRU 27L0640)
3) 14.1" SXGA+ (cable FRU 27L0590)
As you can see, each requires a different ribbon cable (according to the T2x Hardware Maintenance Manual).

It was interesting. LCD shows all signs of bad backlight (very dimm picture, you can see image with flash light pointed to it only)
Replaced backlight.... same picture..... checked inverter.... same... swapped ribbon with another TP .... voala!
Now the original FRU: 27L0519 P/N:27L0490
But I guess ribbons from any 14" XGA T-series will work
Thanks

Did you have to remove the ribbon cable from that larger looking piece of plastic film on there? I am in need of a new ribbon cable and hinges for a TP570 w/a 13.3" XGA.

not sure what you are refering to, but it is one piece cable that connects inverter, mboard and LCD

I'll try to take a photo of it tonight. Odds are I'm better off looking for one on eBay since I also need new hinges.
