You can go to radio shack or kmart and get a panasonic 2025 it is what the 600 came.

Just tape it.

600 CMOS

I've carefully taken the wires off a dead CMOS battery and then made sure they were completely flat and taped them on a new battery Placing the battery in a vise and using a very thin knife blade I tap on the knife with a hammer and the wire ends pop off. I tape these ends on a new battery using clear packaging celophane tape. Seems to work ok if you make sure to get a good positive contact. I buy the 2032 which is the same voltage and size but slightly more mAh than the 2025. It doesn't seem to make any difference, but maybe someone more knowledgeable about batteries will jump in. I get the fresh batteries at the Commissary for $0.96.

Shrinkwrap works best, just don't get too liberal with the heat source!

OK, slander noted, but what about using the 2032 instead of the exact replacement with a 2025?

You will probably delay replacing the CMOS battery for a little bit longer than if you used the 2025.
