WTB: T2X, T3X, R-, or G-series

#1 Post by oskidbear » Tue Nov 21, 2006 11:21 pm

Hi group:

I'm on the lookout for an older ThinkPad (T2x, T3x, R, or G series).
I'd like to have a ~1 GHz PIII or better with XGA. It'd be
nice to have a WiFi-G card and a combo DVD-ROM/CD-RW.

Open to offers and suggestions if my shopping list exceeds
my budget (~$250). Willing to meet & greet in the north San
Jose/Milpitas/Fremont area.

Thanks for the bandwidth,
Cyrus

EDIT: Expanded query to include R- and G-series ThinkPads.

EDIT: Corrected resolution (WAS SXGA, IS XGA (1024x768)).

Take a look at this one:

It's going to be hard to find something with SXGA+ for $250 or less.
Microsoft Surface 3 (Atom x7-Z8700 / 4GB / 128GB / LTE)
Dell OptiPlex 9010 SFF (Core i3-3220 / 8GB / 8TB); HP 8300 Elite minitower (Core i7-3770 / 16GB / 9.25TB)
Acer T272HUL; Crossover 404K; Dell 3008WFP, U2715H, U2711, P2416D; Monoprice 10734; QNIX QHD2410R; Seiki Pro SM40UNP

Oops... I mixed up resolutions

Pianowizard:

I think I meant XGA (1024 x 768), not SXGA (1400 x 1050?). Thanks for the correction.

It's not one of the models you listed, but it is a fine ThinkPad...

I have an A20m in very good condition with very good spec's, since I just put in a new IBM high capacity battery, I would need $250 to part with it. (I supposed if you want it with a weak - 30 min. - battery, it'd only be $200.)

750MHz PIII
384MB RAM
30GB HD
14" XGA LCD
Built-in 1.44 FD
CD-ROM in Ultrabay
Ethernet
Modem
NEW IBM high capacity battery
AC Adapter
New Netgear B/G wifi adapter

Keyboard is in very good condition, only a little shine on few keys.
