BRAND new. Never used. SEALED RETAIL BOX.
Some users have opened these up and say there is a Seagate drive inside (makes sense, now that Seagate owns Maxtor).
Detailed specs here:

This is a 2.5" external HD that has a built-in encryption system.

So you got one from the BlackFriday? or just from your supplier. Just curious. I got the same one too. I am planning to give it to my father. I already got tons of external HDs.

BF. Got a set of HDs, but decided I want one big drive (500GB+) so i'm going to sell them all and buy one drive.

A -- Did you ever catch a fish for that hard drive? I'm shopping for one now.
2. What's the read speed? I've seen some that are 5400rpm and others where the package says 7200.
Thanks

No one has bought it (but in all honesty, I've been writing my PhD dissertation and haven't had the time to try to sell it).
I'm 99% sure it is 5400RPM.
This is the TINY size that uses a laptop hard drive, FYI. It is about the size of 2 decks of cards side by side.
