I would like to trade an IBM Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Adapter II, for an Intel chipset card so that it will work in my T30. This card was purchased brand new just a couple of weeks ago and is genuine IBM replacement part FRU 39T0081 and comes with drivers disk, it cost me $45.00us. I thought it would work in my T30 but I was mistaken :-( .
So if anyone has an abg card they would trade please let me know. It must have the 'a' as one of my networks requires this.

It doesn't work at all -- or you get the 1802 error when booting?

I don't get the 1802 error because I fixed that, but I get a code 10 can't start device because there are no drivers for it.

Did you try downloading the drivers from the Lenovo site? Try this link:

It's true that it's not listed but that would not stop me.

Or does the driver refuse to install?

Indeed ... not supported by IBM. However, it doesn't make sense to me why a generic driver (such as those at
http://www.phoenixnetworks.net/atheros.php) would not work given that it's a standard Atheros card and a standard MiniPCI connection.
Is there something special about (missing from?) the T30 that makes it unable to support an Atheros card?
