I have acquired an Iomega JAZ drive. I have no use for it and want to see if anyone is somewhat interested. It is the drive itself, the power cord, 2 X 2GB JAZ disks, software, and the PCMCIA card with the cable. I will consider all offers. I doubt anyone one would have a use for this besides backup data, but that seems a little useless if you have more than 4 GB of stuff. The unit is in excellent condition and the disks have been formatted.

Good luck man.

I don't intend this as a threadcrap, but honestly with 4GB flash drives below $60 now, there really seems to be no market for this.

Even despite the price of flash drives and the likes, this would be great for anyone who owns a vintage system such as a 760 or older.

If I had the money, I'd offer you something-- it would complement my Zip100 parallel.

I actually have a full-sized AT tower built up of legacy parts, including the aforementioned Zip installed in a 5.25 bay, a 5.25 Floppy Drive (I have disks, too), an NEC 4x4 CD Changer, and a 251MB swap drive.

Alas, I am beyond broke right now... Christmas has been canceled for hte family until I start working and get a paycheck. Image

Hey Dngsrone, I got a 250MB ZIP to go with that stuff if/when you're interested.
I also have a 300BAUD phone cradle modem from the pre-internet days I used to use on a daily basis if anyone is looking for a museum piece. I think it still works, but good luck finding a dial up board to try it on!

Stargate: I could actually use it on some of my older TP's.
PM me with what you want for it, and we'll go from there.

The thrift shops here in town (Vancouver) are filled with $5 Zip drives and $10 Jaz drives. In fact, most of the Value Village locations here are tech havens for super cheap stuff. Does anyone else notice this elsewhere?

There isn't squat in my area-- lots of small-time retail/repair shops and a few box stores... the Computer Show doesn't even come around any more. Image

Joester-- the place where I worked eight years ago had 250MB zip on the computers... I loved those things. But thumbdrives are a heck of a lot more convenient now.

The Goodwill in my town used to be totally awesome. I once picked up a working Compaq Portable III for $5 and a working Acer 386 laptop for $2. Nowadays, they have very few items and they are overpriced and crappy. They actually put out Pentium I boxes for $40 and up per piece. I'm not sure what happened but I'm guessing it's probably management related.

Yea, the 250MB's are nice to have, but I have mainly the 100MB internal drives in some of my computers, and only the one external 250MB.

Interested in the 250MBZIP?

Man, I must have about a hundred of 100GB Zip disks, some of them never used. Bought a lot of 'em for $4 each back in the day. Now...I don't even know if they'll bring a dime on eBay.
