I have an X22 that I haven't used since April, so I would like to sell it. The laptop works off of the AC Adapter, but it does not work on a battery (this happened all of a sudden around in like March).

Specs:

X22 Type 2662-95U
P3 800mhz
128mb RAM
No HD, but I do have the caddy
ThinkPad 802.11b WiFi (I also have the original Mini-PCI card for the modem)
1024x768 LCD

AC Adapter
2 IBM original batteries (2+ hour charge)

I'm willing to part out the laptop parts (if there is enough demand for parts)/accessories if you want.

I believe a location is required for you to sell here.

Do you mean it has built in wifi? Not a pc card?

Thanks,

well I am interest in it but just wondering, why need a location, and how would this be a safe transaction if done online without ebay?

How does eBay guarantee safe transaction? For the most part, it's a matter of trust and the fact that not many people will use a 4 year old computer with mobo issues as the base of a scam.

Location is important because it helps filter the number of interested people down to those within practical shipping range thus reducing traffic and bandwidth as well as the load on the seller. You also need a location because the admins here say so. On a privately owned site, you are to follow the owners rules; it's no different than being in a privately owned house that's not yours.

Well, I have heatware under "wighty" and ebay feedback under "wighty949." Beyond that it is all trust I guess.

el aye, I think you have to provide more detail regarding the internal WiFi. The model you list, X22 Type 2662-95U, did not come with internal WiFi, which would mean the antennas and related LCD bezel and parts are NOT included, UNLESS you (or someone else) did an after purchase upgrade or swap.

Since the value of this dead X22 is the LCD, especially if it has the internal antennas, this would be helpful to all. A picture or two wouldn't hurt either.

Thank you.

Well sorry to burst that bubble, but the antennas are not installed in the LCD. I purchased a few antennas from a Toshiba laptop (I think) and only have them installed underneath the keyboard on an IBM ThinkPad 11b card pulled from a T41. It worked fine throughout my house (a big house, ~100 feet long with the access point on the second floor closer to one end of the house), so I didn't bother to go through the hassle of installing antennas in the LCD.

No bubbles burst, it's exactly as expected - after looking up the model number. Just wanted to ensure that prospective buyers (like myself) were clear on what was being offered. I, too, have an X22 (w/o stock internal WiFi) and would have made an offer if the item you were selling included the internal antennas.

Most poeple understand "built-in" to mean stock - not a custom modification.

Best of luck.

Sorry about that.
