However, it seems to have succumbed to the dreaded T20 disease. It no longer wants to turn on, as described by any one of countless threads in the T2x sub forum. Sucks because I had to do homework and such on it. Which leads me to my other item...
My 600E, while in pretty good condition, lacks the sufficient power in order to complete tasks in a short amount of time. I received it through my school and it helps on occasion, but unfortunately as I noted before it is inadequate. I am using it right now because the T20 will not boot. My main use for it is as a Torrent machine. But I digress.
Anyways, I was looking to see what I could sell these machines for. I do have around 5 batteries that I will include for the T20, which have from 1/2 to 1.5 hours of life in them each. The 600E also has an Ultrabay battery, and fully charged delivers about 2 hours of battery on both the main and the expansion. I can also get another battery for it.
The T20 has a broken latch and the left button key has a different feeling than the rest. There is also wear and tear on the keyboard. But the biggest problem is turning the bugger on. After reading threads on the issue, I am confident a system board swap will fix the problem, but I am not very good with laptop hardware.
The 600E is in VERY good physical condition, with minor scraps on the rubber surface.
I would like to at least have enough money to buy a working laptop, preferably a Thinkpad. If I could trade both of the machines for a T23 or something that uses T20 batteries, that would be great because I could keep a few batteries and continue my work from there. Of course, the trade would need to be at least a T21, and it would have to work. I am not trading a semi-working T20 and an operational 600e for a paperweight. A DVD drive is important, but a CD-Drive would suffice for any trade.
If anyone had an T30 or something similar with lots of batteries (or even one in Great condition), I would be willing to cut a deal and trade all of the above plus two Wifi cards and a spare 40gb laptop hard drive as well (as long as the T30 had a 40gb Hard drive as well and a DVD drive
).As for prices in case anyone was interested, I am looking for around $50-$60 not shipped for the 600e and around $100-$120 not shipped for the base T20. I will take around $300 not shipped for the extra hard drive, two wifi cards (Linksys and 2wire), 600e, T20, and all the batteries/accessories I have for them.
