Tip: Instead of posting a follow-up which only contains a price change, use the Edit button on your original post. That way people won't have to scroll down the page for the latest information.

and while we're at it, the bump limit is once every 72 hours, not 48...or 36.

:)

$100 price drop after just 5 days...Ya don't see that often!

I think there should be an exception to the bump rule. I'm sure no one else on this forum would mind if threads got bumped as long as the prices are being lowered each time

Lowering an asking price is not a bump.

A bump is a response to a post where the sole purpose is to "renew" it's place at the head of the thread list. They usually consist of nothing more than the word "Bump".

You could lower the price of a for sale item hourly and none of the posts would be viewed as a bump.

Sorry to hijack, just a bump related question

What about adding/removing/changing bundled items from a machine? i.e. changed 6-cell to 9-cell

Is this still not a bump?

No, provided you don't add it one day and remove it the next repetitively.

Yes, one could lower by $0.01 and it still wouldn't be considered a bump :)

Yes, but who would do something like that? In any event, it is obvious enough to probably be a well-defined exception that can be handled on the spot. :)

would you consider selling it 'barebones'?

as in, no HDD, no CD drive, no RAM?
possibly even no keyboard or CPU
