A31 System Restore Disc/Software<~-This is what showed up in the search results for me when I typed this in and the seller clearly states that this isn't a system restore disc...

But does it seem like a good deal...

Thats the one real question that enters my mind, Not becauz I would buy it... But becauz of jus wondering how many b.s. drivers he has on the disc, I'd say no myself considering that since I've got a close personal friend who works at the IBM office down here in Atlanta and can get me whatever I'd need it'd jus take kinda of take a lil while longer than it would for this to be delivered to me... The only reason I'd actually consider gettin this disc is jus out of curiousity to see what all he actually has on it....

What I was really wondering also is has anyone on this forum ever bought of these or talked to someone who has used one these disc?

........
By the way, Incase youre wondering it is my friend does at IBM he helps maintain the servers and keeps them running... He also makes personal midi's in his spare time from all era's of music and does personal request as well...

edit
Blah finally got the tagline corrected, Opera browser has always been real funky with directly copying the address from another link for some reason.. LoL

I have come across those kinds of things while looking for restore disks for my X20. I have often wondered the same thing.

Yea I hate it when sellers do that... I've e-mailed him and told him that his auction was misleading and how eBay usually or at least used to frown upon misleading auctions like that but he never replied... LoL!! Go figure

If I read it correctly, all they are selling is the same drivers/software you can get off of the IBM/Lenovo web sites for FREE. Like you say, they DO have a statement in the auction that the CD does not contain Windows; you just have to read everything that's in the auction description. That they use the term "restore CD" COULD be misleading, but again, only if you don't read through the entire page.

It says that they have "persmission" to resell these files and that they can offer proof if asked. Maybe you should take them up on that offer.

I consider them class 'A' losers, just because they're trying to pull some wool over some unsuspecting eyes. The fact that they didn't even look at what they wrote (spelling mistakes left and right) makes me dislike them even more.

And a certified technician did the downloading and copying? Terrific!
