Mil-Spec Standard Utility Case – custom foam insert for ThinkPad laptops

EDIT: 02/12/07 - Case # 3 is sold.

To All:

I have four hard cases with custom foam inserts that are project leftovers and rejects. The cases are from SKB cases and are part number 3I-2011-7B. They appear to be the size of an airline approved carry on bag. They have a retractable handle and a set of wheels.

The custom foam was made to fit a T42 laptop (Type 2373), 2 extended life batteries, 2 hard drives, a full size port rep (Type 2878), recover CDs and much more. The space for the laptop is 13”x 10.5” x 1.5” and has two Velcro straps to secure the laptop in the case.

Case#1 – bottom foam is loose – needs to be glued again
Case #2 – case is missing a humidity sensor
Case #3 – sold
Case #4 – missing top foam where the laptop fits in.

See their web site for the product specifications:

The cost of the case from the manufacturer with the custom foam inserts is $132 US.

Shipping weight is 11lbs (without an external box). Dims are 22”L x 14”W x 9”H.
Will ship UPS / USPS, US only, from Virginia, zip code 22015

If interested PM me and make a reasonable offer including shipping. I will send a picture of the custom foam interior to those who PM me and provide an email address.

Thanks for looking.

He is not asking for $132. That is the price when new. He is asking for reasonable offers on cases that have imperfections, that he pointed out. Enough of the thread crap, please!

If I strip the foam out, I bet it would make a decent book bag for my son...
He's gone through 4 backpacks so far this year.

PM'd.
