Bad battery from eBay

I had a couple of 8-cell X40 (or X41 but non-tablet form) batteries and wanted to trade one of them for a 4-cell battery, either IBM OEM or non-OEM. ..but tested the new one and found out that IT TURNED OUT TO BE JUNK LIKE MOST BATTERIES FROM eBAY I GATHER.
