FS: IBM 9516-B23 LCD Monitor

#1 Post by AlphaKilo470 » Mon Jan 01, 2007 7:28 pm

I'm looking to sell a decent looking IBM 9516-B23 16" LCD monitor. The power adapter and video cable are both missing. Overall, the unit is very clean and there are no scratches to the screen and the case has no major damage. The resolution is 1280x1024. If anyone has interest in this, let me know, thanks. Pics available upon request.

just a note.. this monitor will take a power supply from a T2x series and the video cable is a double ended VGA cable.

The back of the monitor has 5 bnc connectors; one for red, green, blue, chroma and luma. I tested it today with the cable borrowed from my HP/Sony Trinitron 20" CRT and the AC from an old ThinkPad and the LCD showed a bright picture with good sharpness but the backlight flashes on then off in one second intervals then after a minute the light just goes out all together. This repeats every time I power on. My guess is that the circuitry that drives the backlight is shot. Because of this, I figure I'll let the monitor go for $30 plus shipping. PM me with zip code for quote.
