Recovery Disks question

#1 Post by STS06 » Mon Jan 15, 2007 4:22 pm

Hi all. My harddrive crashed about two or three weeks ago. I called IBM/Lenovo tech service and got a new one in two days. However, I still haven't recieved the recovery disks to load XP on my computer (I never made those originally- lesson learned). I was wondering if there's some other way to get the disks or make them (maybe download them)....I'm not sure, just looking for a way to get my T42 up and running ASAP (need the comp for school). Thanks.
T42 (2373N3U): 1.8 Ghz, 1.5 GB DDR, ATI Radeon 9600, 60 GB 7200 rpm HD, 15" SXGA (1400x1050) screen, CD-RW/DVD-ROM (combo), Bluetooth, Fingerprint Reader.

Call IBM and ask for them. Explain your need form them and possibly IBM/Lenovo can overnight the disks to you.

In the US 1-800-426-7378.

You could also ask around here on the forums or post a LF/WTB in the Marketplace for them and somebody would probably be glad to ship them to you for the cost of S&H. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
