Does the X40 use a 72W adapter? I have an extra 56W one.

the X40 will use either the 56watt or the 72 watt..
the 56 watt is smaller and the 72 watt will charge faster.. (i think)..

i have several 72 watt and a couple of 1gig memory parts..

at this point i am taking offers..

Just get one on eBay. Hundreds of them are available, many for under $20 shipped.

It'll be hard to beat and eBay unit for $20.

Just be careful it's an actual IBM/Lenovo unit. I wound up with one that is a nearly identical clone. It says "For IBM" where it should say IBM. Plus it weighs about 1/2 of what a real IBM adapter should weigh. Can you say safety concern?!
