An A30 assembly should work just as well. I actually swapped the entire lid between an A30 with wifi and an A31 without. Now my A31 has internal wifi. Good luck. There didn't seem to be a BIOS lock either on the A31, I upgraded to a generic Intel 2200 B/G adapter.
