FS: A few Thinkpad 570E's-*Pics added*

This is my first official forsale ad here, but I have 100% positive feedback (106 as of now) on ebay under seller ID egiles14. I did just sell a T21 to a member here, Stargate199, so he might be able to provide additional feedback.

I have a few Thinkpad 570E's forsale. I have two 2644-6AU's, and two 2644-5AU's. From what I can tell, none of them have a battery that will charge. All prices include shipping in the U.S. lower 48 states. Each system will include the AC adapter. Sorry, I don't have any Ultrabase units for these-but I will include a D-Link 10/100 Cardbus ethernet card.

5AU Specs:
Pentium III 450MHz CPU
6 GB Hard Drive with original Windows 98 preload
64MB RAM
13.3" TFT LCD screen
Internal 56K modem

One of these 5AU's is in very good condition with hardly any wear. No cracks, scuffs, anything. Works perfectly besides the battery.
Price for this unit is $100 shipped.

The other 5AU also works perfectly but has two hairline cracks in the palmrest, the screen hinges are very loose so the screen will hardly stay in an upright position, and the F12 key is missing. $50 shipped.

And I have two very good condition 2644-6AU's-here are the specs-

6AU specs:
Pentium III 500MHz
12GB Hard Drive with original Windows 98 preload
64MB RAM
13.3" TFT LCD screen
Internal 56k modem

As mentioned, both of these are in very good condition, besides the fact the batteries will no longer charge. Price for these is $125 shipped.

Pictures of any of these machines are available upon request. If you need the external floppy drive, let me know and I will try to locate it. I 'should' have them, but honestly I don't think they were ever used so at the moment I don't know where they are. There are hardly any 570's being sold anymore, so it is hard to know what the market will bear. Just remember my prices include shipping, but if you would like to make me an offer please do so and I will consider it.

Thanks!

Eric,

I have someone who may be interested in one of your 570E's but I'm trying to find some affordable RAM first...do you have any? (256MB)

Dan-

I am afraid I don't. All of the 570E's I have have the standard on-board 64MB and that's it. Of course, memory from 600's and T20-22's will work in them also.

Thanks for the kind words Bill. Wish I did have an ultrabase-I only had one and sold it with another unit last year. :(

Everyone likes pictures, so here are a few of one of the 6AU's. The other 6AU and the clean 5AU are in basically exactly the same condition, but if you need pictures of them they can be provided upon request.

Thank you-I appreciate it.

A note to the moderator that edited my post (and I would PM you with this information if I knew who you were)-most of the forums that I post on don't let you edit the main thread subject after it has been submitted. I was unaware you could do that here so I apologize. However, I did the same thing in the General forum a few days ago and someone there kindly added "Pics Added" to the thread title.

A PM to me about this could have been sent to me and I would have made the necessary changes myself.

I think that was me, if you're talking about the EZServ thread. I saw the pictures you posted, added the "*PICS*" to the initial subject line, added my comment to the thread but left off any note about my "mod" actions.

edit: Sorry to confuse, but that wasn't me that edited your initial subject line. I just found the thread where I did do that.... Must be my aging brain cells... :)

I changed it, and I don't do PMs. I leave moderator notes in the open so that other forum members can (hopefully) learn.

Just an update-one 6AU and the $50 5AU are now sold.

There is still one 6AU and one 5AU left. PM me if you are interested.

Thanks!

Just a quick endorsement, I recently bought a T23 from Eric. It was/is a great machine and he was great to deal with. Good luck with this sale!

Thanks schiesz-I appreciate it!

This needs to be updated as I have one 5AU left, and I have someone interested in it-I just have to get off my lazy behind and e-mail him some pictures.

I like the 570 series a lot. Most of them that I find don't have working batteries, so I really don't buy them. Eric is a great seller. Bought a T21 about 2 months ago from him and it works great.

Hey Eric, upgraded the T21 to the 14.1" XGA LCD :D

:thumbs-UP: Did the 13.3" still work, or did the backlight finally give out?

Yeah, it finally gave out. I was able to get all of the replacement parts from Aphakilo470. Basically traded him a video card and some speakers for his desktop to swap our T21 screens. I did that just in time because the 13.3" LCD gave out about 3 days later. Alphakilo went on eBay and got some parts to use a spare 14.1" LCD he had laying around for his T21.
